This just in from The Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale University:
I am told that this image is derived from Edwards' beer tankard. It also appears on the JE college tie.
Now you know.
As a fan of Edwards and a guy whose full name means "Lion of God" in Hebrew, I appreciate this news. Also fascinating is the appearance of this stunning crest on Edward's beer tankard. Surely there are implications?

Time to dust off Benjamin Franklin:
"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
Franklin had a way with words. Methinks if he'd actually believed in God, his acumen would be more convincing though.
God has the power to speak His truth even through those who could not or, even, refuse to know Him--seeing as all truth comes from God.
You're right, John, all truth is God's truth. Sometimes I take exception to people (i.e. former presidents) who name-drop God while making it plain that they actually want nothing to do with him. I don't really have an axe to grind with Benjamin Franklin, though.
