A Flash Review: Masterful Briefs on Death
Murder & Other Acts of Literature – Michele Slung, A
This compilation of short stories takes the less-traveled path to homicide by drawing from such “classic” authors as Isak Dinesen, William Faulkner, Rudyard Kipling, and Louisa May Alcott. Readers hoping for the bloody sophistication of the modern “crime story” will be mostly disappointed, but if engaging death-accounts is the aim, Murder is exceptionally satisfying.
Some of the stories wander slightly from the stated theme, but considering that you can grab this book for the price of a cheap martini, bitterness would be a laughable induction. In Vino Veritas (“the truth is in the bottle”), by A.A. Milne (the creator of Winnie the Pooh!), is worth the price of this volume all by its lonesome.
Quite simply, Milne’s piece is the best short murder story I’ve come across, and Murder is a short anthology to die for.

Hello Ariel,
Your 1-click button looks really cool. I knew my primitive button was an eyesore :) May I suggest everybody to use this image in my instructions? If you created this image with free software, could you pls let me know where i can get it?

Sure thing. I'll send you the button file. Also, take a look at Adam Kalsey's button maker - a great tool for whipping up buttons on short notice.
