Today Aidan helped me take the trash out. He actually carried a bag of trash down the hall to the trash room, which I told him was very good preparation for marriage. He also tried to put on his own pants, which is excellent preparation for adolescence.
However, his banner day broke down when he pulled off his KU Jayhawk hat before we walked to the post office. We had both been planning to wear our KU hats in celebration of the Jayhawks' big football win over K-State, but Aidan wouldn't go through with it. Probably the whole matching thing.
At 18 months, I'd say his ethical development is coming along pretty well, but clearly, his spiritual life leaves something to be desired.

wait a sec, are you starting to like football now? Would that have anything to do with the Jayhawks finally cracking the top 25? I read this blog for hoops commentary not football! lol.

Ha. You're an astute observer of human nature, my friend.
