That's the news out of ifMagazine, where director Doug Liman says the franchise will roll on, with or without Matt Damon. Personally, I'm not sure it would work. Has Jason Bourne achieved the James Bond-like status that would allow his character to continue without Damon? Not from my perspective.
Fortunately, there's got to be a good chance that Damon will succumb to the piles of money that will be offered for a 4th Bourne film.

No way that happens. No way.
Okay, I'm guessing that Jason Bourne, still in hiding, is lured out of hiding to uncover some sort of hidden truth about his past that causes him to take on the entire U.S. Spy Apparatus, single-handedly, which he does because they killed his woman. Wait... wasn't that the plot of the first three films? ;)
I wouldn't mind learning some more about Bourne's roots way back...like in Nixon, MO, or whatever. Why did he sign up for the homicidal maniac track in the first place?
Let's hope this press release is a ruse by Doug Liman to get Damon on board sooner.
