The top benefit of living on the eighth floor has got to be the view. Actually, now that I think about it, that may be the only benefit, although climbing all those stairs once or twice a day helps me stay in shape (elevators are for sissies).Looking east over the outskirts of Kansas City serves up some spectacular views at sunrise and sunset, though. When the air gets cold, a nearby factory creates billowy clouds of steam that make winter sunsets gorgeous and surreal. Like the city is working in tandem with the atmosphere for the sake of the spectator.
