True, Brandon Rush and Julian Wright have already grabbed preseason player-of-the-year honors. But Sports Illustrated journalist Luke Winn is giving major hoops love to the Jayhawks' backcourt. He considers guards Russell Robinson, Mario Chalmers and freshman Sherron Collins the one "truly great backcourt" in the nation this year: "No team stacks up with the sheer volume of talent the Jayhawks have at the guard position." Asked for commentary, Bill Self noted that the Jayhawks will "play small at times." Uh, yeah.
