I was pleasantly surprised when my latest substantial post, Keeping Up Appearances, evoked some interesting discussion. What was especially enjoyable was the conversational tone maintained throughout. Those (few) involved were thoughtful and direct, but polite and appreciative nonetheless. In my experience, nicely modulated discussion over weighty topics is rare, despite the fact that it's the only road to meaningful "worldview" talk. Too often, knee-jerk reactions rule the day, a flame-throwing session ensues, and everyone goes home in disgust. But not in this case. Anyway, a hearty THANKS to all involved.
